Stained Fate 4

Enshii sat on his bed, it was dark out and Tokyo's lights glowed through the window, He had just finished hiding his wings, now instead of being on his back, they were sealed in a small pendent on a silver chain around his neck, the pendent was shaped like his wings in full span, this was achieved by a lot of focus and imbuement. Now all he had to do is keep this on and his wings would seem to not exist, he could also release his wings on thought command. It had been a long night; he had had dinner with the landlord and her daughter, they had also promised to keep him fed, if he jacked up the rent a little more. He stepped out of his cloths and lay down to sleep.

Morning 7am

Enshii awakened and noticed his chain had come loose and his wings had been released, he felt a aching pain in his back, it was the wings they weren't designed to be slept on, he remembered the days back beyond the Port where everyone slept hovering above the equivalent to beds. Suddenly he heard a knock come to his door, he quickly fastened the chain and closed his eyes 'Be better if whoever it is doesn't know I am awake' He thought deciding not to reply to the knock, the door opened slightly, He heard the voice of Kaori

"Enshii? You awake?" She said softly, upon failing to hear a reply, she opened the door fully and walked in quietly, she hung what seemed to be a Japanese male school uniform on the closet door, she the walked out and stopped at the door, Enshii believed she was watching him sleep, so he didn't make a move, then he heard the door shut and footsteps vanish down the hallway. He sat up and took a look at the uniform, long deep blue trousers, white formal shirt, and a deep blue overcoat… 'Could be worse' He thought, as he pulled himself out of bed and got dressed. He stands at his door and takes his pendent into his hand and stares.

"It suits you" said Kaori, "it's mysterious", Enshii looked up to find her standing next to him.

"Are you sure you're not a ninja?" He asked in all honesty, Kaori just laughed and said, "Mum sent me up here to wake you up, forcefully if I had to."

"Lucky, seems there's no need for that" Enshii said as he smiled

Stained Fate 5

It was quite early in Tokyo as Enshii finished eating breakfast with the landlord and her daughter.

"Thanks for the meal" He said in flawless Japanese, obviously by looking at Enshii you could easily tell he was not a native Japanese, yet his name says otherwise… Actually Enshii's name wasn't originally Enshii, but a side effect of the Port was that anyone that came through instantly forgot their name, the Artisan (angel race) scientists had been working on a way to defeat this bug, but still hadn't worked it out. The Artisan people had also forget there origins on the way in, but a few good things about the port is that you instantly learn every language (including the Artisan native tongue) and gain wings on the way in, so really forgetting a few things is balanced out.

Enshii stood up and brushed the long streak of hair out of his face, He only ever cut that streak when it hit his neck line

"Well, I guess ill be off" He said as Kaori walked off into her room,

"Stay a little longer" Said Kaori as she smiled "I'll walk with you" , Enshii nodded and leant against the wall near the door, his bag at his feet. Kaori came out what seemed like hours later "My god, girls take ages to get changed" Enshii stated as Kaori walked over

"No, you guys just don't take enough time" She said as she walked past him, Enshii followed on after her.

Half way down the street Kaori turned around and stared at Enshii, "Ok, what's with you?" She said

"I have no idea what you on about" Enshii lied

"You turn up on the ground, looking like you fell out of the sky, with a heavy case and a winged pendent; there's gotta be something going on"

Enshii stares at the ground… "ok, there is something, something big" he says as he releases his wings, the span out and curl around him.

"Im an exiled angel" he said, expecting the worst, Kaori inspected him for a few seconds, then.. "So that's it, how, what, where??"

"Ill explain on the way to school, where gonna be late otherwise"

Minutes later, in class

"We have a new student starting today, so if you will all shut up for a few minutes so he can introduce himself" The teacher said signalling Enshii into the room, He walked in and turned to face the class, brushed the strand out of his face.

"Hi, My names Enshii, or Tsubasa Enshii, umm yea I don't really have much to say so like.. Questions?... maybe?" He said with all confident, he could see the girls staring at him, then whispering to there friends, he caught a few words from one girl "…so hot…" He smirked and went to move to his seat then…

"um, I have a question, where did you get your pendent, your girlfriend maybe?" said one girl

"Heh, me? Girlfriend? No not at all, this pendent was given to be by my mother awhile before she died" he said with a sad tone in his voice as his eyes level to the floor

"Ok ok, that's enough, go sit now Enshii, lets start work" He did as he was told, noticing that eyes where following him, one set specifically, of a guy on the other side of the class, 'he's got my eyes' Enshii thought 'he's seen the gate'
